Hi Very articulated way of writing a proposal.
I like the way You make proposal writing similar to painting. Both requires skills of highest level

Thankks

@deepak: good points. Keeping in mind a few simple things can make a big difference in the outcome.

- Template: No fancy templates. Simple structure with clear headings / sections
- Dont do too many long paras. Bullets / Tables read better
- Pages: Number of pages really depends on purpose of proposal but 3 - 10 can be a good range. More than 10 is definitely not advisable or readable
- Font: Keep it basic and simple - no fancy fonts. Work with fonts like Arial, Times new roman - easy to read on screen, print accurately on most printers and easy to read on paper
- Remember: many (or most) people will print and read the proposal
- Animations: I agree NO ANIMATIONS - they are big distractions
- PDFs : For sure proposal should be in Pdfs/Docs. PPTs are more like discussions starters. Proposals are made once discussions have progressed and its time to formalize the understanding

Very interesting,
What about the template selection,
Number of pages,
default font,size & stuff?
Some blogs mention that proposals are best without animations & preferably in pdf's than ppt.
IMHO-These minor things require more care & can fine tune the whole proposal.
